Thanks to those windy roads, it took us longer than we expected. But you have to expect that in CR...roads and conditions are not the same as home. And on winding road where the speed limit is posted at 40 or 60 km, you drive to what the sign tells ya!In La Fortuna, we stayed at Hotel Dorothy. It was a great place! Again we lucked out with super friendly staff, good rooms, and a great location - just outside the main area of town, so it was quieter. Here some pics of our hotel and the second floor common area where we hung out in the evenings.
This was our room. One double bed, one single bed, a fan, and a private washroom = $20/night. The hotel was supposed to have hot water...we got hot water every now and again...not every time. Which was fine, the cold water wasn't too cold.
