Day 2: San Jose

After spending the morning at the hostel, researching weather and road conditions, talking to the hostel staff, and figuring out what to do and where to go, things didn't seem as bad as they could have been. We found out that Quepos and south were hit the worst. It was one of the areas were wanted to go...Jaco (north of Quepos) and Manuel Antonio (south of Quepos).

So if the south is bad now, let's make our way north first to La Fortuna. Or should we hit the Caribbean side first? Hmm, not sure. Either way, we decided to rent a 4x4 vehicle rather than commuting by bus.

After some more discussion, we decided to head north to La Fortuna. Now we just had to wait for our vehicle to arrive. So we went for a walk, to the bank, to the grocery store, and around San Jose near our hostel.

This is the Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica (National Theatre), so very pretty! It's located along one of the City's squares.
This was the square, next to the theatre... full of pigeons. People were feeding them and getting their photos taken with them. Yuck, no thanks.

We toured some shops as well then headed back to the hostel to pick up our vehicle. The open road awaits!
